Skydance Paramount Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 United States Roles – News
Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 positions in the United States within a cost-cutting plan worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August worth $8.4bn.
Additional global layoffs are expected, as the firm planning to disclose full details via its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates suggested the firm was looking to eliminate from 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
The company did not immediately respond on the matter.
